Not bad. Great if you are hungry (lots of food), but there is probably better food options nearby if you are looking for quality.
Good food options for dairy free people
Fast friendly and if you like spicy they will crank it up for you hard core!
Great food! Lots of food for the price. Authentic and delicious. The bathroom was pretty rough and ambience isn’t the best. Fast casual dining. Great for a quick bite of amazing food.
Delicious wraps. I like extra eggplant in the chicken shawerma wrap, and I don't like eggplant in many cases. Taking them to go and eating in the park is also very nice
The food was good but the Egption guy who works there has zero customer service he was acting like prince that's way buisness getting downI recommend the owner to change front dest
Amazing falafel wraps with fries, hummus, peper sauce, and many other goodies. You, will, be.......full.
Very friendly, great food, nice atmosphere
The food was decent, but the falafel was not as crispy as I would have liked, and some of the wraps were too spicy for our kids.
The Ohzi is the best international food ever. Flaky, meaty, spicy, ricey, and vegetably.
Good enough food for a true Persian. Friendly service.
The BEST falafel! It's the best falafel we have found on this side of the world. No joke! Must try!! The veggie wrap was also amazing.
So good authentic food and fresh! We go here for lunch regularly. There is a ton of room to sit but more than most places In The mission. My fave is their potatoes...not the “healthiest†option but boy are they freaking fantastic!!! Oh and their lamb is perfect.
An excellent choice for a quick delicious bite. The best middle eastern food in the city!
Fresh ingredients, great Falafel, I liked the Shawarme, don't think it's too dry. Don't let the shabby outside fool you, this is a very good place.
Anytime we go on vacation we try and find a place to buy Falafels. While visiting friends in San Francisco, this restaurant was recommended. After trying dozens of "Falafel places" (for lack of a better name), I can say this one ranks higher than most. The portions compared to the price are fair. The service was quick. The restaurant was clean. No complaints!
Felafel + eggplant + french fries = #superbuenoSrsly why read more go there today and order whatever the **$* u want u won't regret it top notch superbueno
Huge portion size! Great customer service!
Huge, delicious, flavorful falafel for under $10
Some food that we expected to be warm was cold. The staff is great but the food is not what expected
Stopped by here for baklava a few times. It's ok. Little bit dingy inside
Huge falafel great dinner! Friendly work staff. My husband and I go here a lot when we want great falafel. I have only had the falafel but they have other items to eat from you can see. Go get the super falafel with eggplant and baked potato wedges in it as well. Yummmmm.
The chicken shawarma is delicious. My favorite Mediterranean food in the Mission.
Beautiful food. Great owner. He'd socialize with his customers. Knowledgeable about the history of Palestine and the middle east. Great music in the background while eating
Sandwiches are so good. Don't hesitate to go there!
People that works here are super friendly, food is great and portions good as well, you will leave satisfied. Prices are low.
I have been coming to Ali Baba's Cave for many years and love the shwarma wraps, especially the chicken. If you like it extra spicy, there is a spicy red sauce they can add to it, which I love, personally. When I visit San Francisco I always come here and eat. It costs about $10 for a Shwarma wrap. Of course, they also have falafel and a few other things.
Love the chicken wrap! It’s just delicious. Give a try!
So nice man and very good service , big wrap of shawarma i can’t finish it because is too bic big and low price amazing restaurant
So glad I stopped here with the Mission Food tour. Would have never given this place a try. Very basic interior but the food way makes up for the ambience. The falafel was freshly made, well seasoned, light and fluffy, rolled in thin bread with all kinds of other good stuff that didn't overwhelm the falafel. I want to come back for the kebab or just have another of the world's best falafel. And super nice and quick service.
I'd rather go to Truly Med.
Worst shawarma ever!!! Half of it was parsley - I like parsley, but not in industrial quantities. When I ordered I was not prompted to specify a spiciness level - it ended up being too spicy to comfortably enjoy.
Great falafel burritos. Roasted Eggplant is delicious too!
Best Shawarma ever.
Always love it: fresh ingredients, consistent food and I always have to get the Lamb Ohzi platter as well as falafel. Don't let the small exterior fool you - great food is always being prepared and served with a huge welcome! Excellent value for money. The babaganoush is a favorite of mine - consistency, again and super fresh. I love the hot sauce. If you're a spice and heat lover then it's for you. They normally use it sparingly for good reason: so ask to taste it, or be brave and ask for extra.
literally laughed at for asking for a side of tahini sauce. also, they conveniently place the tip jar underneath where the cashier gives you your change, and then accidentally drop your money in the jar. this is not the practice of a restaurant where i want to get my food. ZERO STARS.
Very good falafal and cumcumber salad.
I love the name of your restaurant! I making Ali Baba's Cave in my programing class in Ohio! Keep up the good work lads!
Excellent falafel! Get it with everything (super falafel). After finding this place, I'll probably never have another burrito in the mission again. Word on the street is that the meat here is dry, so avoid the shawarma.
Possibly the best falafel I've had in America, served with a gracious smile as well!
There are two particularly great features about Ali Baba's Cave (ABC). The first is that it is open until 11pm. For some reason, the majority of the restaurants in the area have decided that shutting their doors at 10pm is a good plan. I'm glad that ABC has resisted that trend. The second is that their portions are large, and their food is good. In the arena of quick, filling, and reasonably priced meals, ABC stands toe-to-toe with the local burrito joints, and often emerges from the fray as the hummus-y champion. They make their falafels from scratch too, so if they're fresh they are amazing.
Love this place. The food is amazing and the owner is the sweetest person. Try the Ohzi and the shawerma.
Quite delicious and nice portion sizes!... Great food and not to pricey either!... Give them a try!. The best middle eastern in SF
Food was really great, but place could use a bit of touching up.
The falafel was so salty that I had to drink lots of water to counter the super salt intake. So if you are low on sodium , falafel is your best bet. Very disappointing. Off my list
Great local place for falafal and shawarma
I would say the falafel plate is below average. Tabbouleh is too lemon. Baba goush is tangy like it had lemon in it or had been sitting to long. Falafel was dry. Hot sauce and tahini were nothing special. Hummus tasted pasty.
So many great food to choose from at the perfect price please try it
I was there w a friend, didn't feel clean, passed on d food.
Fast, cheap and delicious middle eastern fare (and it's walking distance from my apartment!). They have a very cool table which is recessed into the wall and has cushions for sitting on the floor -- something that I can only assume is meant to emulate Turkish cafes.
